R Dist Comp Mik F Barnes
At the Executive committee meeting held on the 20th January 2015, R Dist Comp Mik Barnes announced that he had written to Mark Masons Hall, requesting to stand down as Provincial Grand Summus as of 15th July this year.
After accepting his letter, they have subsequently written to V Dist Comp Louis Keats, offering him the position of Provincial Grand Summus of Surrey. This he was very pleased and honoured to accept, and indicated that he expected to be installed at the regular Provincial meeting to be held on 16th July 2015 at Surbiton.
Grateful thanks were expressed to R Dist Comp Mik, for the leadership he has shown in the early years of this Order in Surrey, for setting the Province on the right path, and leaving it in a very healthy position, to develop further in the future.
I would like to express my thanks to R Dist Comp Mik for all he has done, and to congratulate V Dist Comp Louis on his preferment.
I wish them both every success for the future.
