An Emergency Meeting of the Surrey Consistory
In June 2019 Surrey Consistory No 4 T.I. held an emergency meeting to confer the Second and Third Grades on a number of Companions. Present was the Provincial Grand Summus, R.Dist.Comp. Louis Keats, the Past Provincial Grand Summus, R.Dist.Comp. Michael Barnes and R.Dist.Comp. Phil Claire, Provincial Grand Summus for Kent.
The Consistory was opened by the Acting President, R.Dist.Comp. Michael Barnes. The Dispensation was read and the First Grade adjourned. The Consistory was opened in the Second Grade of the Order and Comp. Chris Eley, as the representative candidate, was Obligated, Entrusted and Invested to the Second Grade by R.Dist.Comp. Michael Barnes as President, assisted by R.Dist.Comp. Phil Claire as Primus of Lectores and Em.Comp. David Willmott as Primus of Ostiarii. Also taking their Second Grade were Comps. Bob Hancock, Steve Rowlands, Martin Dunham, Stephen Hugkulstone, Wally Maynard, Roger Short and Adam Spevack.
The Consistory was closed in the Second Grade of the Order and opened in the Third Grade of the Order. Comp. Bob Hancock, as the representative candidate, was Obligated, Entrusted and Invested to the Third Grade. Also taking their Third Grade were Comps. Chris Eley. Steve Rowlands, Martin Dunham and Stephen Hugkulstone. The Lecture in the Third Grade was given by R.Dist.Comp. Michael Barnes.
After the Candidates were congratulated by the Provincial Grand Summus the Consistory was closed and we all retired to the bar.
After a few drinks in the bar the Companions of Surrey Consistory and their guests sat down to a most enjoyable lunch at the Surbiton Masonic Hall.
